Abide, Inc. is a specialized environmental contacting company first established in 1991. Abide provides asbestos abatement, vermiculite removal, deleading, mold remediation, PCB removal, select demolition, and disinfecting services.

Abide is a fully licensed, insured, and bonded with the latest equipment and technology to complete projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Maria Tilli

Maria Tilli - President

Maria founded Abide, Inc. with her husband Frank in 1991 and became President in November 2004. Initially Maria was responsible for Accounts Receivables and Payables, Payroll, and Financials, but now currently manages all aspects of the business and administration which also includes Purchasing, Human Resources, and IT. Prior to Abide, Maria worked as a Procedures Clerk for the District of Court Probation in Springfield, MA and as a Surgical/Medical Record Transcription Technician. She received an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Holyoke Community College in 1984 and is an accredited Asbestos and Deleading Supervisor/Contractor.

Frank Tilli

Frank Tilli - Vice President | Sales

Frank founded the company with his wife, Maria in 1991 after spending the previous four years as a consultant. Frank is currently in charge of Marketing, Sales, and Estimating for Abide and involved with all Divisions of the company. He was also the President until Maria Tilli took the reins in November 2004. Frank holds a Master of Science from the University of Massachusetts in the Division of Public Health in 1987, Bachelors of Science from Springfield College in Environmental Science in 1984, and Associate of Science from Holyoke Community College. He is a Licensed Construction Supervisor, Asbestos Abatement Supervisor/Contractor and Deleading Supervisor/Contractor, and is also trained in General Construction Safety (OSHA 10-hr), HAZWOPER, Mold Remediation.

Christopher Coopee

VICE PRESIDENT | OPERATIONS

Christopher Coopee - Vice President | Operations

Chris joined Abide in January 1993. He is currently responsible for estimating and scheduling all jobs with a primary focus of managing asbestos abatement projects. Chris is also responsible for ensuring that all projects and employees comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as Abide’s Standard Operating Procedures and Written Safety Programs. He conducts weekly scheduling meetings, and routinely audits project sites. Prior to Abide, he worked for Mill River Environmental, Goodwin Insulation, and Benson Insulation going back to 1986. Chris is a Licensed Asbestos Abatement Supervisor, and is an accredited Deleading Supervisor, and HAZWOPER Trained.

Vladimir Shandrin

DIVISION LEADER | LEAD & MOLD SERVICES

Vladimir Shandrin - Division Leader | Lead & Mold Services

Vlad originally joined Abide in 2003 as Laborer and worked his way up to a Field Supervisor until he left in 2020 to work as a window and door contractor.  He returned to Abide in June 2023 replacing Jerry Gray after his retirement from Abide.  He is responsible for estimating, scheduling, and managing all lead (deleading) and mold remediation projects.  He is also responsible for ensuring that all jobs and employees comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as Abide’s Standard Operating Procedures and Written and Safety Programs.  Vlad is experienced in all phases of construction as a Licensed Home Improvement Contractor.  Vlad is a Licensed Deleader Supervisor and is certified under EPAs RRP program  He is also trained in 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety, HAZWOPER, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Hazard Communication, and Mol Remediation.

Gregory Lindsay

OPERATIONS MANAGER | SAFETY DIRECTOR

Gregory Lindsay - Operations Manager | Safety Director

Greg joined Abide in 2006 and is currently responsible for the Management of all Health and Safety policies and programs. He conducts and coordinates all employee training, manages all applicable licenses, and maintains medical and air monitoring for the company. Greg conducts routine site inspections and audits, and is also in charge of the maintenance of specialized equipment. Prior to Abide, he was President of CNC Environmental and Safe Workers of America, Inc. He also was the Vice President and in charge of Corporate Affairs for Safe Environment of America, and was the Assistant Director of South End Community Center in Springfield, MA. Greg received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from American International College in 1984. He is a licensed Asbestos and Lead Supervisor. Greg is also trained in HAZWOPER, OSHA 10-Hr Construction Safety, RCRA, Mold Remediation, Fluorescent Lighting Systems (PCB Ballast and Mercury Lights).

Larry Holland

PROJECT MANAGER | ESTIMATOR

Larry Holland - Project Manager | Estimator

Larry joined Abide in 2006 as a Field Supervisor until his promotion in 2021.  He has experience with all sorts of projects from residential to large scale industrial complexes.  Larry is currently responsible for estimating and running jobs in accordance with project specifications and state and federal requirements.  Prior to Abide, Larry has been in the industry since 1995 working for a few other companies before joining the Abide team.  He currently holds Asbestos Supervisor licenses in MA and CT,  HAZWOPER, and OSHA-30 certifications.
